NRC on Meat Conducts “SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN” At Chengicherla Village on 10 Dec’ 2014

All the scientists, technicians, supporting and contractual staff have once again responded enthusiastically to Director’s call and this time Chengicherla village was taken up for cleaning.

In order to create awareness of SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN in the Chengicherla village, local Gram Panchayat Officials, village elders and leaders were also informed well in advance to participate and strengthen the campaign.

In midst of village, opposite bus stand a large open area which was filled with lots of Polythene, garbage and bushes was identified and cleaning was done. In addition, road leading to Govt. Upper Primary school was swept and cleared of garbage and bushes. As a safety measures hand gloves, face masks, garbage bags, and required cleaning materials were provided to all the participants. Some of the village leaders, elders, youth have joined the NRCM staff actively.

Interestingly a few local Press reporters have witnessed the activity and interacted with Dr. V.V. Kulkarni, Director and news was covered in the local News paper- ANDHRA JYOTHI. Hyderabad, Dt.11-12-2014.
