Swachh Bharat Abiyaan Programme

National Research Centre on Meat (ICAR), Hyderabad has overwhelmingly responded to the appeal made by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India to make Swachh Bharat . The Director, and all staff members have taken the “pledge” issued by Govt. of India on 2 October’2014 at 11.00 A.M. and launched the mission to make the Centre “Swachh”. All the scientists, technicians, supporting staff swung into action in response to Director’s call and all their respective labs were cleared off old / unused materials and cleaned the lab meticulously and organised the labs very tidy with proper display. Similarly administrative and Audit staff have attended to cleaning of their sections and organising the files, registers, etc and ensured Swachhat of their work place. A 3 member committee has been constituted to oversee the cleaning of the entire office / labs and to extend guidance in maintaining cleanliness of work places.

A special drive has been initiated by Director to keep the campus clean by performing Shram daan. Entire staff members of the Institute joined hands very sportively and cleaned the campus and cleared off unwanted bushes, plants etc.
